Wire Sculpture

Wire Sculpture

This is a photo of my wire sculpture that I made during  Sculpture and Installation art class. This class explores some materials used to create sculptures, which include wires, tapes, woods, and many more different kinds of materials. As a student, we learn how to build and learn to use sculpture tools. This is my first sculpture ever, and since the theme of this project is “Nature”. So, I decided to choose lavender because Lavender is my favorite flower, and it means a lot to me. As a simple person, I like simple things, so that’s why I chose only 2 colors for this project. This project wasn’t as hard as I expected, as long as I pay attention and patience while making it then things will go well. I did about 4 leaves and 4 lavenders with little leaves on top. Something that I enjoy about this project is the repeating part because I can feel all the parts of my artwork all have a connection together. In conclusion, I like this project in many ways from the outside looking and from what I learned from it, such as the connection of all the lines, the details, last but not least is the sculpture shaped in a unique way.- Kim Nguyen
