Line Art

Line Art

This is a picture of my  Line Art project that I made in class. The main idea of the  Introduction to the Visual Arts class is to learn how to draw and create art with different art tools which include brushes, ink pens, line art, and much more different kinds of art. As a student, we learn how to draw and learn to use art tools. I would say this is one of the most successful and nicest drawings I had ever made before.

My line art project has a lot of small patterns and details that are mixed together with a bright tone and colorful. My artwork is “The tiger”. The artwork shows the illusional and the way I viewed a tiger. The elements most obvious in my artwork are lines.  My artwork is made from paper and colored pencils. First of all, I use ¼ of paper and I made 4 sketches by drawing random shapes on it but at the very end, I only use one of them. I use ¼ page drawing that has been duplicated and traced to my final project (by using the lighting board to trace). I choose the colors that I wanted for my art and that is also the final step. The tiger, the nature, and the music when I listened to while I was doing this project inspired me to create the whole artwork. My work expresses that the world would be colorful and positive if you choose the right music to listen to. Because my tiger is made in bright and artist is super colorful and it totally opposite with how we have seen a tiger, but since this work was created while I was listening to the right positive music, it makes things better than how it is supposed to look like. My goal as an artist is to be better at using colored pencils because when I look closer at most of my pencil-colored artworks I often see some of the white marks that un fully covered. But this project really helps me to go through that struggle by spending a little more bit more time and carefully pressing the color pencil to cover all the white marks as much as possible. I lean to be more patient while doing this artwork, at the beginning when I started to color the whole picture that I drew, I thought I cannot finish this assignment. Fortunately, this project only took me about 5 days to finish by being patient and trusting the process and it actually satisfied at the end of the project because all the white marks are almost fully covered by color. This project will influence my future artwork by looking at it I will tell myself “even though the project has to be super details and cost a lot of time but you can finish it if you did believe in yourself!”
